IP-Transit Services in Frankfurt and Amsterdam
The multiple redundant layout of our Mainlab Multi-Carrier IP Backbone guarantees high availability of all connected IT systems. The backbone is based in Frankfurt on a redundant fiber city ring that is itself connected to leading network exchange points and carrier networks. It is primed for services up to 10 Gigabit Ethernet.
Our locations in Amsterdam are directly connected to the IP backbone in Frankfurt. Besides all upstreams on site in Amsterdam, all connections in Frankfurt are available in addition.
High Resilience - Hardware of Leading Suppliers, Completely Redundant Network Layout
Customers, operating IT systems at one of our locations, are directly connected to the entire IP backbone. They especially take advantage of this multi carrier connectivity to that effect that IT systems are available even in events, when the connection to a single carrier network may be disrupted.
The gigabit backbone is operated by high performance routers of the leading suplliers Cisco Systems, Foundry Networks and Juniper Networks. All routers and switches are of redundant layout for an all time smooth operation.
IP-Transit Services for Customers - with and without Colocation Component
IT systems of a customer will generally be connected to the backbone with a 100 megabit oder 1 gigabit switchport. Accounting IP transit services will occur in accordance with established methods by gigabyte, average, 95% or flat.
IP transit services can be obtained at each of our locations with and without colocation components. In the latter case, your existing racks of another provider will be connected via an in-house cable to our high performance backbone as primary or secondary upstream.
